Credit Card Logos

The DMV accepts cash, checks, money orders for the exact amount, debit cards and major credit cards.

Please do not mail cash. If you wish to use a credit or debit card with mailed transactions, complete a Credit Card Authorization (VP-205) form.

Transactions at DMV kiosks carry an additional $1 processing fee.

Non-Commercial Driver License

Testing Fees
A $25 first-time fee is charged on all knowledge tests. It includes a drive test at a later date when applying for an instruction permit. One fee applies to any combination of knowledge or endorsement tests including a drive test when paid for on the same day. A $10 retest fee applies each time you retake a failed test.

Fee Exemptions for Duplicates

The Department is authorized to waive the fees for homeless persons and recently-released prisoners to obtain a duplicate Nevada driver's license or identification card. This is a one-time exemption for duplicates only.
